At the budding age of three, Fausta was drawn to the violin, inspired by the performances of world renowned Itzhak Perlman. She began private, classical study at a young age, trained in the traditional Suzuki method. Throughout her years of study, she participated in NYSSMA and other solo and orchestral festivals, as well as in ensembles and competitions for young musicians.
Fausta began her professional career teaching with the Trillium Music Center, located in Watertown, NY. She was an instructor with Trillium for nearly ten years, while simultaneously building her private studio clientele. During this time she also embraced the opportunity to bring classical string instruction and pre-k music classes to local area schools, to include Lowville Academy Central and South Lewis Central, as well as early childhood centers, to include Hand In Hand, both in Lowville and Boonville. These opportunities were made possible through grant-funded programs.
While maintaining her studio, passionately devoted to providing classical instruction for violin and cello, Fausta performed throughout the tri-county region with a duet partner as Rosin Rhapsody, providing ceremony music for weddings, funeral/memorial services and celebratory events. Although Rosin Rhapsody has retired their partnership due to career and location changes, Fausta continues to accept invitations to perform throughout the region within the aforementioned categories. She has performed with the Northern Lights Orchestra since its inception in 2009 and has performed for countless events and ceremonies in varied settings, too numerous to list.
Although a career in music occupies a vast portion of her time, Fausta enjoys the fullness of family life as a wife, and mother of four. She spends much of her day-time hours as a home educator, while evenings and weekends are spent instructing and performing. Fausta has also been active in volunteering for various entities which include outreach centers, community organizations, and church/school committees. Previously, she served on the Board of Education for St. Peter’s School before its closure, was an advisor for her church youth program for ten years, and is currently the music minister at St. Hedwig's Parish.
